How we write and check our guides

The guides on this site are written by the DocIt team. Here is how we research them, what we use as sources, how we date them, and how we fix mistakes.

Who writes them

The DocIt team, the people who make the DocIt app. We are not lawyers, tax advisers or insurance agents, so our guides explain steps and point to the official rules. They are not legal, tax or financial advice.

Where the facts come from

What we say about DocIt

We only describe what the current version of the app does, checked against the app itself. Features that are planned or still being built are left out until they ship. When we describe DocIt, we also say what it doesn't do, so you can decide whether it fits.

Comparison pages

We make DocIt, and we say so on every page that compares it with other apps. On those pages we:

Nobody pays us to mention an app, and we don't use affiliate links.

Dates

Each guide shows when it was last checked. Rules, fees and app listings change, so we check our guides again when we know something has changed, and the date moves only when we have actually checked the page.

How we use AI

We use AI tools to help with research and editing. They don't decide what we publish. Facts are checked against their sources before a page goes live, and claims about DocIt are checked against the current app.

Corrections

If you spot a mistake or something out of date, email hello@docit.one with the page address. We check it against the source, correct the page if we got it wrong, and update its date. Bigger changes get a short note on the page.
