Your data

Delete your data

DocIt keeps your data on your phone and, only if you turn it on, in your own Google account. Here is how to remove each part. We hold nothing on our side to delete.

1. Documents on your phone

Delete single documents from the document page (More, then Delete), or select several in a list and delete them together.

To remove everything at once, uninstall DocIt. Android deletes the app’s storage, including every document and the encryption key, and they can’t be recovered.

2. Your Google Drive backup (if you turned it on)

  1. Open Google Drive with the account you used in DocIt.
  2. Find the folder named DocIt Backup and delete it.
  3. Empty Drive’s bin to remove it straight away.

3. Email reminders in your calendar (if you turned them on)

Turn off email reminders in DocIt, then delete any remaining DocIt events in Google Calendar.

4. Google sign-in access

Go to your Google account’s third-party connections, choose DocIt and remove its access.
